Gokstad Viking Faering

My Viking fleet continues to expand! This sleek vessel one was another quick Viking-era boat, this time taking about two days. This is my last boat before I switch back to the larger Skuldelev ships. I'm trying to get a variation of larger ships and smaller boats to get a cross section of the watercraft types of the Viking era. You can get this one on Sketchfab, and I'll put it up on some other shops later as part of a larger Viking ship/boat pack I'm working on.

A faering is a type of scandinavian boat with two pairs of oars, which are still in use today. The Gokstad faering was the smaller of the two boats included in the burial goods of the individual buried on the famed Gokstad ship. The Gokstad ship burial is a 9th-century Norwegian ship burial excavated in 1880, and is one of the most impressive Viking-era ship burials known. The ship and the two boats buried with it are incredibly well preserved, and the heavily restored ships can be seen at the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo.
